She Who Stands: Rest

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

— Exodus 14:14

There’s a battle that can only be won when you stop fighting.

Not because you’ve given up—

but because you finally understand that your strength is not the solution.

She who stands is also she who rests.

Not in weakness. Not in fear.

But in the confidence that God fights for her.

The Strength of Stillness

Rest is not retreat.

Stillness is not surrender.

It’s an act of deep faith.

When the Israelites stood between the sea and Pharaoh’s army, their instinct was to run, to panic, to do something. But God said,

“Be still. I’ve got this.”

And He did.

Sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is lay your sword down, close your eyes, and trust that He is still working when you are not.

She Who Rests

She has learned that striving doesn’t save.

That urgency isn’t always obedience.

That God moves more in a moment of surrender than she ever could in a lifetime of striving.

She breathes deep.

She closes her eyes, not in defeat, but in peace.

She stops, not because she’s lost her way, but because she trusts the One who leads.

This is holy stillness.

And it’s one of her greatest weapons.

A Prayer for the Weary Warrior

Lord, You know I am tired.

Help me lay down what You never asked me to carry.

Quiet my mind. Still my spirit.

Teach me to rest—not in apathy, but in trust.

You are fighting for me. I don’t have to prove myself.

I don’t have to fix everything.

I just have to trust You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
