She Who Stands: Stand

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to standard .”

— Ephesians 6:13

There’s a kind of strength that doesn’t shout.

It doesn’t clamor to be seen.

It doesn’t swing wildly or run headfirst into the fight.

No, this kind of strength stands.

She stands when others run.

She stands when the ground shakes beneath her.

She stands, not because she is fearless,

but because she knows who holds her ground.

This is the posture of the woman of God—the warrior who has been through enough to know that her strength does not come from her sword, her skill, or her stamina. It comes from the One who has clothed her in armor and called her to stand firm.

The Battle Is Real

Spiritual warfare is not a metaphor. It’s real.

The enemy is subtle, strategic, and relentless. But so is our God.

And while the world may measure strength by how much noise you make or how far you charge, Scripture tells us that victory often looks like stillness—like a woman who refuses to back down from her post, who plants her feet in truth, and who raises her shield even with trembling hands.

Sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is stay.

She Who Stands

She doesn’t wear her armor for show.

She wears it because she’s been through battle.

She knows what it costs to cave, and she knows what it means to endure.

And when the day of evil comes—and it does come—she’s not caught unprepared.

She stands her ground. Not out of pride, but out of obedience.

Not to prove a point, but to hold the line.

She doesn’t need to conquer the world.

She just needs to hold the place God gave her.

That is enough.

A Prayer for the One Who Stands

Lord, steady my feet.

When the battle rages and the voices swirl, help me remember that my strength is not in striving—it’s in standing.

Remind me that I’m not alone in this fight.

You go before me.

You hold the line.

And when I have done all I can, teach me to stand and let You fight for me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
